Event description

Upper Mustang is one of the two major divisions of Mustang district in northwestern Nepal (the other division is Lower Mustang). It borders to Tibetan plateau on the Chinese side and Dolpo & Manang on the Nepalese side. Mustang boasts the presence of Muktinath, a popular pilgrimage among Buddhists and Hindus. Upper Mustang is all about desert-like topography. Mustang - commonly referred to as 'Upper Mustang' - is a arid river valley that runs north-south off the upper corner of the Annapurna Circuit. Both culturally and geographically, it's more similar to Tibet than Nepal and used to form its own kingdom, with its capital in Lo Manthang (the turnaround point of your trek). Lying in the rain shadow of the Himalaya, and officially one of Nepal's restricted regions, this trek is known for its desert beauty and harsh, cliff-faced landscapes.

Massif Holidays is a local organizer of Upper Mustang trekking. We are specialized for arranging various trekking, tours, adventures sports and customize holidays package for Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Please feel free to contact us for the customize itinerary to address your specific requirements if the above presented itinerary is not suitable for you. We do operate the customize trip as per your requirements.
