We need to support Black youth leadership now more than ever!
Rethink develops the authentic leadership of youth of color in New Orleans. We support young people in seeing their personal and collective struggles in a larger political context and then translating solutions into mechanisms for change. Last June, Rethinkers helped youth in Baton Rouge plan a march to call out the injustice of Alton Sterling by law enforcement. See their video here. RETHINK MARCHES IN BATON ROUGE
Join us for a fundraiser to support this critical work! Saturday, March 11, 2017 6pm at 1635 10th street in Brooklyn, NY to meet Rethink's executive director, karen "kg" marshall, and learn more about Rethink's vital work. Refreshments will be served.
The cost is free to get in, but we are asking everyone to donate when you get there. If we reach our goal of raising $5000 our money will be tripled by two generous donors who have agreed to match!
If you can't attend, you can still donate to help us reach our goal! Click here to donate: DONATE TO RETHINK AND SUPPORT BLACK YOUTH LEADERSHIP
