#upfront confidence workshop
Sat, March 25, 2017, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT
At #upfront we believe that speech is power. It is more important than ever before for self-identifying women to have the ability to influence, persuade and inspire. All self-identifying women are welcome - extroverts, introverts and everything in between. Of course, we encourage those who are naturally quiet, shy or introverted because we know that you don’t often push yourselves forward into the limelight but it’s time for you to get those brilliant, creative ideas out into the world!
Our aim is for you to leave feeling the most confident you've ever felt, equipped with new tools to use when speaking in public, in meetings or networking situations, in a pitch or during a formal presentation.
We will cover ways to introduce yourself, how to strengthen your voice, how to stand whilst talking to a group of people, how to combat nerves and low confidence and triggers for vocabulary.
This workshop will be designed and led by award-winning designer, public speaker and entrepreneur, Lauren Currie and actor Cassie Barraclough. We can't wait to meet you!
A word from Lauren:
"I want to influence how self-identifying women think about themselves and their potential. Having spoken at over one hundred conferences worldwide, in front of audiences of over one thousand people I want to give it all away - my fears, my learnings and my triumphs! We are all capable of holding more space and owning our power."
What others have said about these workshops:
"The #upfront team created a very warm and safe space. To be honest it's not something I've ever really witnessed happening so successfully before and it was very powerful. I spent the rest of the weekend telling everyone about it!"
“Brilliant energy, pace, pitch which made everyone feel included and excited.”
“It was a really amazing day. Ranging from practical tips that will definitely help navigate nerves and pitfalls next time I speak in public to more intangible, but really awesome boosting of confidence and mutual appreciation.”
*We want this to be an inclusive event. If you can't afford the ticket price please get in touch and we'll make it work for you.
