Event Details

In an effort to help keep municipalities from facing DOJ litigation, Accessology is offering two customized training classes worth 3.5 CEU credits EACH, to enable Title II entities to understand their rights and responsibilities in regards to ADA compliance. Part I of this presentation is designed to explore the technical requirements for buildings, parks and sidewalks, with an emphasis on the implementation and interpretations for Public Rights of Way. It allows for open Q&A discussion to clarify the nuances of Title II requirements and equip municipal representatives, county officials and ADA coordinators with a better understanding of how to move forward with their own ADA transition plans.

Part II of our training course is specifically designed to unlock the mysteries of access, from creating a successful Transition plan to maintaining accessible features once they are in place. This interactive training will help equip staff to identify vulnerable areas before they become hazards and know how to mitigate them. You won't find a more informative class on this topic. Whether you work on the exterior or interior, streets or hiring, planning or implementing, this class will be beneficial to all. Attendees will leave with confidence in how to implement your ADA program, develop your transition plan, and strengthen understanding of staff at all levels.

These courses will be beneficial for architects, engineers, contractors, and maintenance supervisors, working on building interiors or exterior elements such as parking structures, streets and/or sidewalks. They are equally beneficial for planning, implementing, and human resources departments, or anyone involved in the ADA Transition Plan process.

These comprehensive training courses are each worth 3.5 CEU credits, for a total of 7 CEU credits if both courses are attended. Each participant will receive an Attendance Certificate.
