Kai Christiansen is a musicologist, multi-instrumentalist, radio host, writer, lecturer and general chamber music fanatic. He has worked with a variety of music presenters including Noe Valley Chamber Music, Music at Kohl Mansion, Gold Coast Chamber Players, San Jose Chamber Music Society, Chamber Music Monterey Bay, Music in May and Chamber Music Silicon Valley among others. As a resident of San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood for over 20 years, Kai has a particular soft spot for Noe Valley Chamber Music. In addition to his musical pursuits, Kai has been a professional software engineer for over 30 years working as a web developer, programmer, teacher and writer for some of the most progressive companies including SCO, NeXT, Apple and CBS. Combining music and software, Kai created earsense.org, the online chamber music exploratorium, now celebrating its 20th Anniversary. It continues to occupy the majority of Kai's technical and creative endeavors like tending a garden each day until it bears fruit and flowers, becoming a giant forest. Kai will no doubt spend the rest of his life gardening.
