UOPX Data Center Tours (2016/2017)
Wed, November 1, 2017, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM MST
Dan Konzen, Campus Chair, College of Information Systems and Technology has set up monthly tours of the University of Phoenix Data Center that is available to students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
The Apollo Education Group Riverpoint II Data Center, Information Technology Operations Center (ITOC) and Information Security Operations Center (ISOC) set the industry standard for secure and reliable technology services. This means a world-class resilient facility, secure network, 24x7x365 physical security, robust power architecture, maximum infrastructure flexibility and centralized global operations.
Apollo Information Technology Operations delivers value through smart investments, innovation and best practices. These key initiatives provide value across Apollo’s business functions, from the design and architecture of our online applications to support of Apollo’s employee back-office systems and finally by reducing risk through resilient and redundant facilities.
The Riverpoint facility is located in Phoenix, Arizona. The new Riverpoint II Data Center and Information Technology Operations Center (ITOC) facilities were commissioned in Feb. 2011. The new Information Security Operations Center (ISOC) was commissioned in March 2011.
The Riverpoint data center, ITOC and ISOC successfully completed a SOC 1 Type 1 examination, which was performed by Ernst&Young on June 30th 2012. The successful SOC engagement designates that Apollo’s Riverpoint data center delivers reliable operating environments with adequate controls for conducting foundational data center operations. This examination will allow for the hosting of third party institutions within the Riverpoint data center and will provide a sense of reassurance with the controls placed around Change Management, Physical Access, Environmental Controls, Monitoring, Information and Communication, Risk Assessment, and Controls related to Data Center Personnel.
