Description

This behind-the-scenes, after-hours workshop will provide Toledo area educators with tools and teaching strategies for using Visual Literacy and the Learning to Look thinking routine to engage students with the art and culture of ancient Egypt. The session will include an exclusive visit to the exhibition Mummies: From Egypt to Toledo, Q & A session with TMA Director of Education and Engagement and exhibition curator Mike Deetsch, and demonstrations of activities that can be used to teach Visual Literacy skills. Participating teachers will receive a certificate of attendance and Visual Literacy activity card set. Recommended for all K-12 teachers planning visits to the exhibition.
