Event description

Description

It's the date we've all been waiting for! Join us for the unveiling of the Lawren Harris-themed public art piece, commissioned by Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant for the City of Brantford and Brantford Public Library. This one-of-a-kind piece was created by Dave Hind and the Aluminum Quilting Society, along with help from hundreds of members of our community.

Be the first to see the brand new piece of public art, which pays homage to the impact of Harris and the Group of Seven on Canadian art, while also celebrating the many local citizens and groups that made Brantford what it is today. Enjoy some treats on the Lawren Harris Movement, and help us to wrap up the wonderful Lawren Harris Week.

Please note: The BPL Main Branch facade area is still under construction. There is free 1-hour parking in the parkade behind the Library.
