pink sheets, a work in progress, examines the creation of new worlds. Through sometimes non-sensical structural choices, character oddity, tonal specificity, and an investigation of relative time, the work feels magical - like it's glistening. The piece pulls heavily from the form of literary criticism known as fabulations, sculpting a reality that at times unfolds like a fairy tale. The performers - like superheroes - freeze time, moving through layers of visibility and perceptions and versions of self. As a formalist, Lloyd finds that the reordering and layering of both physical and textural narratives gives way to new and abstract logics, crystallizing the edges of the unique worlds he builds.

This project has received support from The Center for Performance Research's Artist in Residence Program and AUNTS.
