About the Sustainable Object Artist and Fashion Designer
San Antonio native Amanda Alarcón-Hunter is a sustainable object artist, fashion designer, vintage curator, wardrobe stylist with over 30 years in the fashion industry. Through her studio, Minx and Onyx Vintage, she transforms discarded and reclaimed materials into wearable art. Her philosophy, Object Vertu, celebrates the beauty of reimagined objects while advocating for slow fashion and sustainability. As creator of Untamable: The Sustainable Fashion Show, Amanda continues to inspire conscious creativity and community through fashion that’s both artful and responsible.

Suhail’s work is rooted in the belief that the arts are transformative. His global experiences, artistic passion, and dedication to equity and community continue to make San Antonio a cultural hub where the arts unite and inspire.

Poet Laureate: James Hunter
A lifelong advocate for slow fashion and sustainability in every sense of the word, James brings a deep poetic voice to Untamable. With a Master’s in English Literature and over 20 years of experience teaching AP English and Poetry, his work in free verse blends vivid imagery and mythical allusions to celebrate the power of art and language.

Guest Speaker: Erika Prosper
An influential leader, former First Lady of San Antonio, and independent force for good, Erika channels her love of adventure, community, and advocacy into shaping and elevating the arts across the city. Her voice continues to inspire progress and connection through creative empowerment.

This show is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend, artist, and photographer, Natalia Sun. Her creative spirit and luminous energy continue to inspire us all.
