I'm planning for a new venture on my farm. What Am I allowed to do? What permits do I need? What is a Zoning By-law? What Permits do I need? Where do I start? Plans for an on-farm building?

Unravelling the Red Tape – will answer all those questions and more.

Two workshops in one:

Morning: Food Regulations - a look at provincial and federal food product rules and how to set up a food processing area on your farm.

Afternoon: Understanding Building and Planning Permitting on Agricultural Land - What are the permitted uses on farm, and what if I want to do something that is not permitted? What is the Process; How do I start, and who do I talk to?
