UnPresenting Workshop - Chicago
Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (CST)
In this fully interactive, small group workshop each person will learn experientially and present a conversation with personal guidance and feedback from presentation expert Heather Gold. Each participant will have the opportunity to work on a specific presentation or pitch in front of the room and work on the specific challenges they face with Heather and the room.
This half-day workshop is limited to 7 attendees.
Heather is teaching her unique interactive performance approach to a limited number of participants in a day or half-day, slide-free, hands-on workshop. Why talk about the Internet in a way that's less interactive than the medium you're discussing? Gain a deep experiential understanding of emotion, improvisation and story in a networked environment. Learn how to be comfortable being yourself in public and how to draw others in. Take advantage about what's unique about a real-time, in person moment. You’ll learn the conversational “mechanics” that let you create quick intimacy and avoid boredom. Go from talking AT or TO a large group of people to talking WITH them. You already know how to have a great conversation with one person. Learn how to read the room and transform your presentations into conversations. NO bullet points. NO slides. Just the greatness in you and the “audience.”
"Heather shows you how to take advantage of serendipity in any pitch or presentation. Incredibly worthwhile."
