Limitless Movement

Limitless Movement was founded in April 2017 and was materially influenced by the documentary, ‘Just Move’ by Ido Portal, which fundamentally challenged my prior knowledge on the concept of movement. Naturally, this led me to do further research on the subject - ranging from body movement to afro movement mostly, as the notion of movement has always resonated deep within me, and hence the dedication of my life towards continually understanding, embracing and sharing my knowledge acquired on the art of movement.

I have always had a deep appreciation for The Martha Graham’s and Alvin Ailey’s of this world, who inspired me to understand my body the way they did theirs. Even more so was my desire, as a natural-born educator, to be able to relay this information to others, but not just as a technique, but rather a method which sought to decode movement for it to be easily adopted, thus making dance more accessible, enjoyable and satisfying to others. I knew this was a turning point for me and my career as my experience over the years has shown me that most people fear the concept of dance and are thus often limited in their ability to move more fluidly, as they almost always believe they either need to be professionally trained to call themselves dancers or have a natural talent for it.

What is Limitless Movement

It’s a movement method that gives you more access to your body through the fusion of various dance techniques and movement concepts.

It frees the ability to be more creative with your body in dance & movement.

Why Limitless Movement?

LM makes the richness of dance more accessible to others by:

  1. Learning/Recognizing the box (dance technique)

  2. Stripping the layers (rules & regulations)

  3. Become fluid (limitless physically)

  4. And go back to the box (playful in dance technique)

By getting access to the blend of dance techniques such as Afro,

Afro Caribbean, Salsa, Contemporary Dance all in one you become a more complete dancer/mover, and therefore more conscious of your body.

Limitless Movement Code of conduct:

At Limitless Movement we go by Connect

  1. Always be Creative, no matter how you feel

  2. Be Open Minded, it gives the courage to break limits

  3. Nothing is New, Play to explore.

  4. Explore over Experience

  5. We Care and value each and everyone, we are a Team.
