3rd Annual Unofficial Gables Waterway Holiday Paddlers' Parade
This is the Unofficial, Unsanctioned, Unsponsored Original Gables Waterway Boat (Kayak and Paddleboard) Parade. This is an annual club paddle organized by the Miami Kayak and SUP Club. It is hands down the most laid back, relaxed, holiday parade you'll ever attend. The homes on the waterway are mostly lit for the holidays! It makes for quite the site. Neighbors often come out to stare at the spectacle of lights. It's the parade Homer Simpson would organize if he were real.
Bring your Christmas lights, Santa Hats, Reindeer Antlers, and camera. Get ready to blast holiday music from your boat or board. Set up a big display on your canoe. Heck, just have fun with holiday cheer.
We will sing parts of Christmas Carols as we mutilate our treasured holiday classics.
This year's route is towards Biscayne Bay. Bring your kayak, canoe, stand-up paddleboard or inflatable anything that floats for a wonderful evening on our very own South Florida Waterways.

The fine print:
By participating in any of our paddles you assume all risks and responsibilities for your personal health and safety and for your equipment; as well as the safety and equipment of your guests. It is important for everyone that each participant be prepared for the trip. Please use your discretion and best judgment when joining an outing. Be sure you are up to the paddle -- physically, mentally and that your equipment is appropriate for the intended trip. All night paddles require lights; even for rentals or borrowed boats. PFD and whistles are required. Intermediate to Advanced Paddles are for those who have substantial experience, skill, and solid knowledge of boat handling and self-rescues. Kayaking has inherent risks. Often, we are the smallest boats on the water. We each individually assume these risks each time we go out on the water. With all that being said, we all look forward to yet another great day on the water.
