SAVE THE DATES: FEBRUARY 23-25, 2017 GRADUATE ALUMNI CONFERENCE
Dear Graduate Alumni of the Department of History,
We cordially invite all UNM History alumni to a special event planned for February 23-25, 2017: an alumni retreat at the Hodgin Hall Alumni Center on UNM's Main Campus. We are thrilled to host a gathering of alumni from a broad range of cohorts whose careers span professions inside and beyond the academy. February is a beautiful time to visit the city and take advantage of the snowcapped Sandias, green and red chile, posole, and the wonderful company of old friends and new connections.
The purpose of the retreat is to develop a lasting partnership among alumni, students, and faculty of the UNM History Department. The department has always worked hard to support students transitioning between their graduate and professional lives. We want to call on our alumni to help chart new paths for graduate career development, outline innovative funding opportunities for students and alumni, and envision new ways to recruit and support students. The program, which will be available in December, will offer a variety of breakout sessions around topics such as career development, funding, networking, and recruitment.
