This half-day session will cover how to prepare for Tiers Certification of design, facilities, and operations to the Tier Standards: Topology and Operational Sustainability. This multi-phase, collaborative validation program is based on industry standard that ensure uptime objectives are achieved during the design, construction, and operation of a facility.
This half-day session will discuss the M&O Stamp of Approval to validate the critical facilities management and operations practices of an existing data center. As a stand-alone assessment of site performance, it reveals an organization’s strength of leadership, and provides third-party assurance that the site satisfies industry-recognized criteria for 24x7 uptime.
This half-day session will discuss the first and only holistic evaluation of enterprise IT organizations focused on reduced waste, improved financial controls, and lowered carbon emissions. The assessment rigorously evaluates management behaviors across Leadership, IT Infrastructure, and Data Center. Efficient IT is the only evaluation that is outcome based and provides specific recommendations to help the organization better leverage technology and expert staff.
This half-day session will go over Uptime Institute FORCSS™, an original system to capture, compare, and prioritize the various impacts to the many IT deployment alternatives. FORCSS enables the management of an enterprise organization to identify, weigh, and communicate the advantages and risks of IT applications deployment options using a consistent and relevant criteria based in business drivers and influences. Entry Conditions. The [name] Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to US residents only. Entrants must be at least 18 years of age to enter. Only one entry per person is allowed. Employees, officers, and directors of CenturyLink, its affiliates, or any other entities involved in this Sweepstakes and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter or win. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted.
Promotional Period. The Sweepstakes promotional period (“Promotional Period”) begins on October 12, 2016 at 3:00pm ET.and ends on October 12, 2016 at 6:00 pm ET.
Prizes. Uptime Consultation award Only one prize will be awarded to one winner.

Prize Restrictions: Prize is not transferable. Sponsor will have the right to substitute another prize package of equal or greater value, at its sole discretion. Sponsor may substitute for a cash prize or goods or services with a value equal to or greater than the estimated retail value of the original prize. All expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). No transfer or cash redemption of prize is permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Prize Selection: A random drawing will conducted on October 12, 2016, at approximately 5:00 p.m. by an authorized CenturyLink employee at the Event.
Odds: Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
Notification: The potential winner will be notified by the contact email or phone number provided on the entry form on or about October 12, 2016. Prize will only be awarded to winner whose name is submitted at the time of entry. Winner must accept prize within 5 days of time of notification (or attempted notification) or the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected randomly from among all remaining eligible entries at the Sponsor’s discretion. In the event that the alternate winner does not respond or accept, another alternate winner will be randomly selected. Refusal to agree to and execute Sponsor’s statement of eligibility and release of liability will also result in disqualification and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting, cause an alternative winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will mail prizes to winners, return receipt required (signatures of winners required).
Taxation: The winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, and local income taxes associated with his or her prize. Sponsor is not responsible for and will not pay or in any way compensate prize winners for taxes associated with winning a prize in this contest. The prize winner may be required to provide certain tax related documents to CenturyLink before receiving a prize. If required by law, CenturyLink will issue Form 1099-MISC to a prize winner reporting the taxable retail value of his or her prize. The prize winner should consult his or her tax advisor about the tax implications of winning a prize.
Waiver of Liability/Publicity Release: By acceptance of prize, the winner grants to Sponsor the right to publicize such winner’s name, city and state/province of residence and/or likeness in any medium now or hereafter devised worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.
General Conditions: By entering, participants agree (a) to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the judging agency, which shall be final in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes; (b) to release and hold harmless Sponsor and all affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all claims, liability or damages arising out of their participation and the acceptance and use of a prize; (c) to permit Sponsor and its agents to use winner’s name, city and/or likeness for advertising, promotional and publicity purposes in all media without additional compensation or any prior review or approval; (d) that under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (e) that all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form class action.

In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the phone number or e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and award Sweepstakes prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination.
