Government Contracting 101 is a good reference to determine a systematic guide in getting started in doing government business.

The training will help you:

• Understand how to speak the government contracting language

• Determine if marketing to the government is right for you

• How to locate contracting opportunities with Federal, State and/or local governments

• Find out about government acquisition regulations and types of contracts

• Identify subcontracting opportunities

• Analyze solicitation

• Identify proposal development strategies

• Learn from a very knowledgeable and approachable PTAC staff

Location

The UT Center for Industrial Services (CIS) Training Room is on the 2nd floor in Suite 221A and can be accessed by the elevator.

Exit the elevator and go straight ahead to where the door to the stairway is. Just before the stairway, turn right into the hallway and follow the directional signs to the Center for Industrial Services Training Room. If you make it to the School of Pharmacy, you have gone too far.

Parking

Please park in the front in a spot marked UT or an unmarked spot. If you park anywhere else, you will be towed. You can park anywhere in the side lot.
