About this event
Conference will be on the lovely St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas (UST). Street address is 2115 Summit Ave, St. Paul, MN. This campus is in a residential neighborhood. Summit Ave is a remarkable street featuring a large collection of beautiful Victorian homes. At the other end of Summit, about 5.6 miles away is the famous J. Hill mansion and the awesome Cathedral of St. Paul. In between is the Governor's mansion, Macalster College, and Mitchell-Hamline Law School. The campus is about fifteen minutes (by freeway) from the airport and the Mall of America, the nation's largest indoor mall with an indoor amusement part.
The only restaurant near to UST is Davanni's; there is also a nearby Super America.
Conference Registration includes all meals beginning with supper in the cafeteria Friday night. Breakfast and lunch on Saturday will also be in the cafeteria--but not the banquet.
On-campus housing includes free parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, linens, bar soap (but no shampoo/conditioner). The dorm rooms are in 3-4 bedroom suites with two bathrooms. Availability is limited. Sharing a bathroom may become necessary.
Two types of on-campus housing:
(1) $45/night for a single in Frey Residence Hall. These rooms are in suites without a kitchen: More info on rooms in Frey Residence Hall: https://www.stthomas.edu/residence-life/halls/frey/index.html
(2) $68/night for a single in Morrison Residence Hall. These rooms are in suites with a kitchen that lacks utensils. More info on Morrison's suites: https://www.stthomas.edu/residence-life/halls/morrison/index.html
Morrison's suite $68/single/night. Unless you tell me otherwise, there will be only two professors/suite. This way each one will have their own private bathroom.
There's no photo for the Flynn suites because they lack kitchens and common space. (The dorm itself has a common spaces on every floor; but only one kitchen for the building.)
