Description

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of San Francisco State University's College of Ethnic Studies, we proudly present University Bound, an event open to prospective first-time-freshmen and transfer students aimed to support first-generation college students and their families to learn about the California State University (CSU) and Financial Aid application process. Students will receive help on how to apply to San Francisco State University and other CSU's through CSU Apply. They will also receive an overview of how to apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act.


Food and drinks will be available. Participants and their families are invited to engage in a campus resource fair and campus tour.

Students remember:

  • Registration Deadline: Monday, Octber 22, 2018 @ 5pm
  • Register through Eventbrite (students can bring up to one guest and must register total party number)
  • Be a first-generation college student to attend
  • bring 2017 tax information (to be used for financial aid workshop purposes)
  • Recommended: bring a copy of all of academic transcripts (to be used for CSU application)

Finding Parking:

  • attendees can park in in the paid public parking stucture, Lot 25
  • all day free parking can be found along Lake Merced Blvd. and Winston Dr. (please pay attention to parking signs for any possible restrictions)
