JOIN US ON A TWO-DAY EVENT in NYC!
October 31 (New York Village Halloween Parade) & November 1 (Meet and Greet Brunch)
These three amazing, grass root organizations are uniting to honor the fight against breast cancer and raise funds for their foundations. Find out more about these breast cancer non-profit organizations on our website.
Day 1: Friday, October 31 | 5 PM Meeting Time | 7 PM Parade
Join us for a very original event - we are walking in tutus and pink firemen hats at the New York Village Halloween Parade. The parade is a "wildly creative, Public Participatory Event in the Greatest City in the World!". That means that we can just show up for the fun- except we are doing this to raise funds for our amazing non-profits. Our group will be led by our "Men in Pink" and leading ladies to show solidarity against breast cancer.
Recommended Donation: $35.00 (includes tutu and fireman hat for the first 100 participants!)
Location: Meeting location to be announced by mid-October.
Day 2: Saturday, November 1 | 10 AM Brunch | 11:30 AM Meet & Greet
Join us on Saturday for a meet and greet. The "Men in Pink" and their leading ladies will be there to sign postcards, calendars and tell you more about the difference they make to the lives of men and women living with breast cancer. There will be a raffle drawing for some great giveaways! Survivors and their families will also have an opportunity to take some pictures with our gang, wearing tutus and fireman hats of course! Weather permitting, the Empire State Building will be our backdrop!
Price for brunch: $35.00 (brunch and single raffle ticket upon entry)
Location: 230 Fifth Avenue, New York City
About the Parade (Brazenly taken from the parade's website):
The tradition of the Village Halloween Parade is to invite everyone in costume to join the parade — and typically 50,000 to 60,000 people take advantage of that invitation every year! Arrive between 7pm and 9pm or you might miss the Parade! The subway is the best way to get there, parking is always difficult and the Parade makes it even worse. Follow the crowd up Sixth Avenue (please do not go down Sixth Avenue, the police will stop you!) You can only enter this area from the EAST and SOUTH. That is Sullivan, East Broome and Canal Streets. If you come from the West, you will need to get back over to the East Side of 6th Avenue to get in the Parade. This can get confusing and frustrating so follow these directions carefully!
