JULY 26, 2013 FRI 7:00-10:00PM
GRAND BALLROOM - LONG BEACH AIRPORT HOLIDAY INN
& CONFERENCE CENTER
In 2010, Long Beach Islamic Center began building the first Southern California Quranic Academy to provide resources, strengthen and preserve the knowledge of Quran among the Muslims in the community by establishing an Institution that specializes in the expertise of Quranic studies with a curriculum designed by the experts and trusted Professors of the Ulama (Islamic Scientists).
It costs $350,000 to complete the first stage of the Academy. The completion will enable us to open the praying area and teach Quran classes (Arabic literacy, tafseer, tajweed). 100% of your donations go toward the building of the Academy. We ask your help in fostering the future scholars by participating in this banquet and giving a donation to complete the building of the Academy. With your contribution, this vision can be a reality Insha Allah
Guest speakers include:
Shaykh Suhail Mulla
Imam Jihad Saafir
"I was born in Denmark and was raised Christian in Jordan all my life, my father was a pastor of 4 churches, my mother is one of the strongest Christian woman leaders in the Jordanian society. I was a youth leader in the church and I was a supervisor in the church community for the Christian theology and I know a lot about it but never narrowed my mind and put that dark sheet on my eyes, I was seeking because I never found my peace till I became a Muslim. And it took me a long process to be convinced in Islam..."
