Event description

Description

Reading is the basic building block for school, work & life!

On this day, volunteers across Georgetown, and Williamsburg Counties will be reading to over 150 elementary & daycare classrooms.

#isitbestforthechild

As a United to Read Volunteer, you will be reading a book of celebration entitled Last Stop on Market Street. As you read, let's celebrate with Nana the small things that are often times overlooked or missed such as the beauty in the world or the basic necessities of life.

As you go into the Thanksgiving holiday, think about the families in your community who dont have those small things that you overlook such as a meal.

Lets help our neighbors that are in need by bringing 3 canned goods to the school that you will read. A box will be waiting for you!

Baskerville (Georgetown County) and Caring & Sharing (Williamsburg County) food banks will benefit from your gifts.

Give back to your community TWO times in one day at ONE location!
