Humanitarian, filmmaker and writer Bill Carter will screen his film and give a discussion about his experience uniting humankind through music during the Bosnian War. Bill worked as a humanitarian aid worker during the Bosnian War, mostly in the besieged capital city, Sarajevo. He eventually found a way to connect with U2 and enlist their help in creating satellite links between the city and U2 concerts, and also made an award-winning documentary, "Miss Sarajevo." Because of Bill’s work, U2 eventually threw a concert for 50,000 people in Sarajevo not long after the war ended, which people from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia attended. The Associated Press said, "For two magical hours, the rock band U2 achieved what warriors, politicians and diplomats could not: They united Bosnia." In 2009, Bill was given honorary citizenship for the work he did for Bosnia.
