Tour the proposed Beaver County Petro Chemical Plant, Fort Cherry School District, Washington County, hear from local farmers, homeowners and community members impacted by oil and gas industry, and Learn about the Oil & Gas Threat Map

ü Oil​ ​&​ ​gas​ ​threatens​ ​the​ ​health of​​ ​1.5​ ​million Pennsylvanians

ü Washington County is the most heavily fracked county in Pennsylvania and has the highest volume of oil and gas wells, compressor stations, and processing facilities in the eastern US. It is home to Range Resources, Rice energy and EQT to name a few.

ü 109,082 people live within 1/2 mile of Oil and gas facilities this zone is known as the Threat Radius

ü Washington County is above the EPA air quality standards for cancer risk.

ü 310,896​ ​students​ ​attending​ ​1,118​ ​schools​ ​&​ ​day​ ​cares; ● 1,552,201​ ​residents; ● 48​ ​medical​ ​facilities; ● all​ ​encompassed​ ​by​ ​the​ ​11,317​ ​square​ ​miles​ ​that​ ​lay​ ​within​ ​the​ ​½​ ​mile​ ​health​ ​threat​ ​radius​ ​of 103,984​ ​and​ ​gas​ ​production​ ​facilities[1]

ü Living​ ​within​ ​a​ ​½​ ​mile of​ ​oil​ ​&​ ​gas​ ​production​ ​facilities​ ​ ​leads to negative​ ​health​ ​impacts​: ​ ​cancer, ​respiratory illness, ​fetal​ ​defects, ​ blood​ ​disorders, ​neurological problems and emotional distress.
