During the first hour of our event, we will have delicious Latin American food from our food sponsor, Chiflez (Jackson Heights, Queens). Chiflez is a Latin American Bistro offering a diversity of South American dishes and Latin cocktails. Chiflez diverse menu takes us on a South American tour with its Peruvian ceviches, Venezuelan arepas, Colombian dishes and Ecudorean cuisine. For more info visit and follow www.facebook.com/Chiflez and www.instagram.com/Chiflez!

Then, we will have an enchanting flamenco show with flamenco singer Alfonso Cid from Sevilla, the heartland of flamenco music. In 1997, Alfonso moved to the United States and since then he is based in New York City. He has made many guest appearances at important venues including Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, American Airlines Arena (Miami), Amway Center (Orlando), Staples Center (Los Angeles) and many others with the popular Latin artist Romeo Santos. He has worked with all of the significant artists in the flamenco ambiance through out the USA, performing and touring in the Tri-State area, Washington DC, San Francisco, Portland, OR; Chicago, Detroit, Kentucky, Toronto, Ottawa, British Columbia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom and Spain. Following this, we will have a taste of Latin gypsy soul music with recording artist Edwin Vazquez who is a Puerto Rican singer songwriter guitarist known also for his vocal imitation of the trumpet. Edwin's sound is representative of the island of Puerto Rico and New York's gypsy soul music culture. His Faith album has landed him in prominent venues like BB Kings, Lincoln Center, Merkin Center, Cami Concert Hall, Symphony Space, Sobs and TV shows in Telemundo and Univision like Noticias al Despertar, Sabado Gigante and more! Our final performance will have us dance the night away and celebrate the Mexican spirit with Radio Jarocho, who will play Mexican jarocho music: son jarocho. Son jarocho is the traditional dance and music from southern Veracruz, Mexico. The genre has its roots in Spanish music and a mixture of Afro-Caribbean and Mexican sounds. Radio Jarocho plays son jarocho music fashioned after the towns, musicians, and swampy countryside that created it in Veracruz, Mexico. They also write their own songs inspired by this popular genre and tailor them with assorted influences, creating a contemporary repertoire that captures the spirit of the traditional style. The band championed son jarocho by performing over the past decade in dozens of concerts and fandangos in several cities, including New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Boston. Their music can be found on iTunes, Amazon or Bandcamp. For more info visit: www.radiojarocho.com/ and follow them on Facebook!
