Event Details

In order to scale our impact and introduce bolder solutions to challenges faced by children from low income families, UKF organizes fundraising events to enable us connect with our existing network of supporters, and to reach a wider audience. Proceeds from the 2015 documentary premiere events will be used to fund this year’s edition of the UKF Back to School program for 15,000 children and 1,000 teachers and caregivers. The estimated cost of this program is $180,000. We hope you will find time from your incredibly busy schedule to attend this event and support our children.

Tickets on sale at:

In addition to the Houston event, we will also hold similar events in DC/Maryland on April 18th ( and Lagos on June 11th ( We hope to see you at one of these programs. We also invite you to consider sponsoring a child's story in the event brochures.

United for Kids Foundation

United for Kids Foundation(UKF) is a not for profit organization incorporated in the USA, Nigeria and the United Kingdom established exclusively for charitable and educational activities targeted principally at needy children in Nigeria.  Our aim is to create a vehicle that enables fortunate individuals and organizations apply their resources towards alleviating the unfortunate conditions of less fortunate poor, sick and orphaned children, and providing them with the tools to overcome poverty, sickness and illiteracy. To achieve this aim, we receive contributions from donors, and use these to provide essential services for the benefit of children in state-owned hospitals, state and privately owned orphanages, public schools and other institutions in need. We have reached more than 40,000 children since 2002. Our highly successful programs include an annual ‘Back to School’ project and free libraries in 9 public schools within Lagos Nigeria, which have ensured the 6,000 pupils in these schools not only get the golden opportunity to develop their abilities through reading but also through arts, film-shows, holiday camps and field trips.
