Event Details

You're invited to an unforgettable brunch with Theranos Whistleblower Erika Cheung and Union Square Ventures Partner Gillian Munson. Enjoy an intimate conversation with Erika and Gillian... an audience challenge / pitch competition, and curated connections over a healthy meal.

Gillian Munson

Gillian Munson is a partner at Union Square Ventures, one of New York’s premier VC firms with $1 billion AUM. Prior to joining, Gillian was the CFO of XO Group (parent of The Knot), a public company, which she and her team sold in late 2018. Gillian’s career includes tenures as an equity analyst, a M&A leader, and a banker and early stage investor.

Erika Cheung

Erika Cheung once worked for Theranos, the $9 billion startup that was supposed to revolutionize the blood testing industry. She helped shed light on the company's allegedly faulty technology and inaccurate testing results.

Erika Cheung and second whistleblower, Tyler Shultz, have launched Ethics in Entrepreneurship that teaches ethical practices and decision-making to entrepreneurs.

Howard Xu is an investor at TCV, a technology growth equity / VC fund with over $15Bn AUM and previous investments in Facebook, Netflix, Airbnb, Ariba and LinkedIn among others.
