UNION COUNTY OLMSTED PARKS LOOP
Event Information
About this Event
Meet the group at the inbound side of NJ Tranist Cranford Rail Station. Walk for about 12-13 miles through parts of the East Coast Greenway and several Union County parks designed by the world-renowned Olmsteds in the 1920s. Highlights: Nomahegan Park, Black Brook Park, Lenape Park, Echo Lake Park and the Union County College campus with its wildlife preserve and pond. The Olmsted's also designed NYC's Central Park, Prospect Park, Acadia and Yosemite National Park and so much more around the world.
Pack a lunch/drinks to picnic along the way. All those registered will receive an email a few days before April 17th with the route/link. As a group, we generally walk at different speeds so though we will try to stay together we do tend to spread out a bit. Please come prepared with directions that will be provided. There are bathrooms at the start, at Echo Lake and Nomahegan Park, and possible others along the way.
Share this link with friends and family. Registration required so we know how many walkers to expect and can communicate with you in the event of updates. You can register yourself and others together.
