Join us at our upcoming 33rd Annual LMSA West Regional Conference to be held on Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th, 2017 in San Francisco, California.
Our 33rd Anniversary LMSA conference is the culmination of a student-lead movement that began in the 1960’s to bring healthcare to underserved communities throughout the nation. LMSA was founded to increase the number of Latinos in medicine, to improve access for underserved Latino patients, and to work on educational programming and research to improve the overall health of these communities. The annual conference inspires Latino students to enter into healthcare professions and provides career development and leadership skills to current Healthcare professional students. The purpose of the conference is to bring together over 650 Latino healthcare professionals and pre-health students.
The theme of this year’s conference is: “Unidos en Accion: Calling to action, Moving to action, and Sustaining action with our communities.” The theme speaks to the unique role we as future physicians have in advocating for our patients.
