About the Program

This program will provide an overview of the Unfair Competition Law - Business and Professions Code Section 17200 et seq., and the special role City Attorneys play in enforcing it in the areas of consumer protection and workers' rights.

About the Speaker

Christina Giorgio is a Deputy City Attorney with the Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) Unit of the San Diego City Attorney’s Office where she pursues public interest causes of action on behalf of the People of the State of California under the Unfair Competition Law. Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Christina practiced in the areas of employment and environmental justice law in California, New York and Illinois. Christina received her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago.
