CURRICULUM:

UNDERWATER DOLPHIN KICKING: Most swimmers do not streamline properly or use a powerful dolphin kick. Did you know that this is the fastest part of your race? Get an edge over your competition by using this SECRET WEAPON! Often called the fifth stroke, Elizabeth witll teach you the importance of working on your underwaters.

  • Proper Streamline: The simplest way to maintain your speed is a TIGHT STREAMLINE from fingertips to toes! Elizabeth will reinforce to you why they NEVER take streamlining for granted. Every fast swimmer must look like a rocket when they push off the wall!

  • Core Driven Kicks: The dolphin kick is a full body movement that takes a lot of core strength. Too many swimmers kick from their knees down. Elizabeth will teach you how to unlock the power of a full body undulation to create incredible power in your underwater dolphin kicks

  • Kick Count/Frequency: Take advantage of every single kick for better training and racing! Learn to use the up AND down portion of the dolphin kick for better distance per kick and power. Smart racers know their kick count off the start and the walls. Do you?

IM Transition (The Crossover Turn): In this clinic you will learn the intricacies of how to get in and out of the flags faster than ever in your back to breast turn (also called the crossover turn). It may require toughness, coordination, and focus but it will pay off! Elizabeth will talk you through what she thinks about to be one of the fastest swimmers in the world in IM and at the turn!

  • Accelerate into the wall: The more speed you approach the wall with, the more energy you'll create to leave the wall with speed! Learn the importance of building your tempo into the wall!

  • Touch on your side: Touching the wall with the right angle of rotation with your touching arm on top is important to being able to execute the back to breaststroke turn properly and not get disqualified.

  • Proper rotation: During a crossover turn, you push the wall behind you and flip forward bringing your head to your knees. Watch Elizabeth demonstrate this skill in slow motion as well as full speed!

  • Explosive breakout: Elite swimmers move at the fastest speed of their race at the breakout. Learn how to improve streamline, breath control and power for a more advantageous breakout!

ASK QUESTIONS: Swimmers and parents are invited to ask Elizabeth Beisel questions during a Q&A session. Hear her talk and gain insight into his training regimen, diet and nutrition, and recovery tactics.

WATCH THE CLINICIAN: Observe Elizabeth swim at full speed and demonstrate a progression of perfectly executed drills to achieve powerful, efficient and fast stroke.

GET UP AND RACE: Race one of the best swimmers in the world and watch her near-flawless technique - achieved by practicing the same drills she will teach you.

Take a photo while wearing Elizabeth's medals, get autographs, and pick up a full color Fitter & Faster Tour 2016-2017 Yearbook and a special welcome bag that contains gifts from our sponsors!
