Come and learn some practical approaches to helping your child with ADHD. We will discuss various treatment options and behavioral interventions to help with common problems including:
- trouble with transitions
- academic difficulties
- lack of timeliness
- difficulties with routines
- oppositional behaviors
- peer relationship problems
- sibling and parent relationship problems
Come and see the world through the eyes of a child with ADHD and come away with a better understanding of how the ADHD brain works and how best to motivate and teach them the life skills they will need for success. Learn about additional community resources as well as the best references to forward your education about your unique and challenging child. Older children with ADHD welcome to attend free of charge!
The class will be taught by Carla Minosh, CFNP. Ms. Minosh is an honor graduate from George Mason University and a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program operated in conjunction with the George Washington University School of Medicine. In addition to providing behavioral consults in our office, she also uses hypnosis as a clinical treatment for bedwetting, anxiety, phobias, and tic disorders. Following the class will be a 15-30 minute Q & A session.
