The TRUST Initiative invites you to attend a training session for agencies in St. Joseph County who have expressed a commitment to becoming Trauma Informed. Some of the topics covered in this training include: Basic Neurobiology of Traumatic Stress, Specific Needs of Individuals and Families Experiencing Homelessness, The Differences Between Traditional and Trauma-Informed Approaches to Treatment, and the Five Evidence-Based Domains of Trauma-Informed Organizational Practice. Our featured speaker is Carmela DeCandia, Psy.D., Founder of Artemis Associates, an organization in Boston, MA which provides specialized consultation services to agencies nationwide who are developing a Trauma-Informed response to serving vulnerable populations.
