Learning objectives

Participants will:

• Explore the concept of Transitional Safeguarding, to ensure a shared understanding of what it is (and is not) and why it is needed
• Consider how the research messages about Transitional Safeguarding connect with Doncaster’s context
• Understand the six key principles of Transitional Safeguarding and reflect on existing local strengths to build upon
• Deepen their understanding of Transitional Safeguarding as an issue of whole-system change, and systems leadership
• Hear examples of other local areas starting to develop a Transitional Safeguarding approach
• Start to explore next steps to progress the Transitional Safeguarding agenda locally.
