Morning conference with presenter Dr. Lori Haskell to understand the neurobiological consequences of trauma within the context of sexual violence and domestic violence.

About Dr. Lori Haskell:
Dr. Lori Haskell is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Toronto.
For the past 30 years Dr. Haskell has been dedicated to training on issues relating to violence against women. She presented in workshops and conferences across Canada and internationally. She also has a status appointment as an assistant professor in psychiatry at the University of Toronto and is an academic research associate with the Centre for Research on Violence Against Women and Children. In recent years she has presented to the Canadian judiciary, both nationally and provincially, on behalf of the National Judicial Institute in Ottawa. Among her many publications is a book she wrote entitled First Stage Trauma Treatment: A Guide for Therapists Working with Women.

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is intended for a multidisciplinary audience. It is recommended for VAW service providers, medical professionals, police officers, counselors, psychologists, education workers, social workers, psychiatrists, justice system professionals, first responders, and community groups.
