Event description

How to Discern the Wisdom of Your Clients' Dreams ...and your own!

- a workshop for counsellors, coaches and others working within the health field.

Note: Space is Limited

"Dreams that have not been interpreted are like letters that have not been opened" (The Talmud)

Do you wish that you had the tools to more effectively discern the meaning of dreams that your clients bring in to their sessions?

This experiential workshop will teach participants how to discern the meaning of their own dreams, and how to implement dream work into their counselling/psychotherapy, coaching, or other professional practice.

This workshop will help participants uncover the tremendous wisdom that dreaming may possess, and will provide a 'tool kit' to allow participants to implement dream work into their professional practice.

Do you dream? We all do whether we remember them or not. Up to seven times a night. Dreams come in many sizes, shapes and configurations. Studies indicate that human beings spend one third of our lives asleep, and roughly one quarter of them within dreams. All humans dream each night, and many of us will also dream lucidly through the day.

Working with your client to discern meaning from their dreams enables the person to reconnect to their own deep inner nature, to their inherent source of wisdom and guidance and to their untapped and often unknown creative potential.

Dreams tap directly into our unconscious, and learning to work with dreams can prove to be an extremely helpful therapeutic source of guidance, inspiration and insight.

This workshop will help you to discern the different types of dreams, identify the dreams that are most significant, explore why some people and symbols show up, and provide tools and a process to explore their meaning. We can view dreams on different levels. Importantly, only the dreamer can truly know the meaning of their dreams; and as such, dream work can be a extremely transformative and healing therapeutic tool to integrate in to therapy.

Although this workshop will be of particular interest to counsellors/psychotherapists and coaches, it is also open to other health care professionals, and the general public. No pre-requisite is required.
