  • Define and understand how hospice and palliative care can differ
  • Learn how the hospice benefit can help patients and families facing life-limiting disease
  • Describe what services are included in the hospice benefit
  • Determine when a patient is eligible for hospice care
  • Learn how hospice care is paid for


Continuing Education

1.0 contact hour for nurses, social workers, and nursing home administrators/assisted living managers (through NAB)

This program counts towards the Montgomery Hospice Certificate in End-of-Life Care (mandatory)

Montgomery Hospice

Montgomery Hospice is a community-supported nonprofit organization that has been providing hospice care to people in Montgomery County, MD for 37 years.  Besides hospice services, we provide professional grief support for patients and families, as well as support groups and workshops for county residents.
