Understanding the Enneagram's 27 Instinct-Based Subtypes
Sat, Apr 1, 2017, 9:00 AM – Sun, Apr 2, 2017, 6:00 PM PDT
This two-day course presents a thorough introduction to seminal Enneagram author Claudio Naranjo’s latest and most complete descriptions of the Enneagram’s 27 personality subtypes.
Each of the 27 subtype characters represents a distinct personality that results from the dynamic mixture of the central passion and patterns of the type (one of nine) and one of three biological survival drives, for either self-preservation, social relationships, or one-to-one bonding.
This workshop will expose you to a whole new level of the Enneagram system. The three versions of each of the nine personality types can be seen to be unique personalities with their own, more specific, characteristic focus of attention and habitual patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. In addition, all of the 27 subtype personalities also have their own particular growth path toward manifesting their higher potential.
Through vivid descriptions, group discussion, and type panels of experienced self-observers speaking about their subtypes, this interactive workshop will help you develop a more complete understanding of the content and operation of the 27 subtype personalities.
This program is approved for 13 hours of Continuing Education credits (CEUs) for LMFTs, LCSWs and LMHCs through Vision Point Associates, provider #1975-112 certified by NASW Washington Chapter ($25 fee payable by check at the workshop).
The workshop will be led by Beatrice Chestnut, PhD MA. She is a licensed psychotherapist, coach, and business consultant based in San Francisco. She has a PhD in communication studies, and an MA in clinical psychology.
