Event description
Have questions about going to court as a CASA?

About this Event

Have you been to court yet? Are you frustrated or confused by what did (or did not) happen? Do you have questions about the court process and the different roles involved? Join VOICES with Carey Turner from the Protective Services Section at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office to discuss juvenile court hearings in the Child Dependency System using a hypothetical case. This educational opportunity will take CASA volunteers on a legal journey from the opening of a case to the various endings that could transpire with their youth. Topics will include dependency allegations, adjudications, dispositions, report and review hearings, permanency hearings, termination of parental rights, permanent guardianship, reunification, and various timelines for court processes. Bring your questions!

* Note: this training was previously held at VOICES twice in 2019
