This session offers an essential introduction to TFA—a pattern of harmful, coercive, and controlling behaviors where abusers exploit digital systems to harass, stalk, threaten, or exploit survivors.
This interactive training is designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and tools to better recognise, understand, and respond to TFA in diverse contexts.
Key learning outcomes include:
- Defining and recognising various forms of TFA, such as image-based abuse, online harassment, stalking, coercive control, and exploitation.
- Exploring real-life risk scenarios to develop practical digital safety and support strategies.
- Combining safety planning, digital hygiene, privacy tools, and evidence handling techniques.
- Enhancing survivor-centred approaches that consider cultural, legal, and social factors.
- Connecting survivors with specialist tech abuse support and safeguarding services.
Designed for professionals across social services, advocacy, health, law enforcement, and related sectors, this training aims to strengthen your capacity to provide informed, sensitive, and effective support for those affected by TFA.
