Event description
Please join the Wake County North Chapter as Kristin Deas helps us understand how to best support our children within the classroom.

About this Event

Kristin Deas from Spectrum Navigation Services will be speaking to our group about what accommodations and supports are available within the classroom and how to determine when and if they are necessary to implement. She will also be talking about how to better understand the data we receive from school services.

We have a Mother's Helper who will sit with the children in the same room that we are meeting in to help keep them entertained while we listen and learn. I will have play doh and books for the children and Nate can help them with these activities. Please note that although we do have a Mother's Helper available if needed for children ages 5 and older, I will need to hear from those of you who are planning on bringing children to the meeting by Monday, Feb 18th. If I have not heard from anyone via email by this time, I will be contacting our helper to let him know that his assistance will not be needed for this meeting and there will be nobody there to assist. Nate and his mom are being very generous with their time and I want to make sure that we honor them and the time they are putting into helping us when we need them.

We are very excited to have Kristin present to us about this topic and hope that you can join us!
