High Performance Workspaces – Christhina Candido

Dr Candido is an architect by training and she holds a PhD in Civil
Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil) and in Environmental Science from Macquarie University (Australia).

She leads the BOSSA (Building Occupants Survey System Australia) tool and her research expertise and interest relate to Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE), Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), Activity-Based Working (ABW), workspace design, thermal comfort and passive design in tropical and subtropical climates.

The BOSSA database has over 10,000 POE questionnaires from surveys conducted in 80 office buildings in Australia and overseas. BOSSA remains as the only Australian developed and owned tool endorsed by NABERS, GBCA, New Zealand GBC and WELL.


Drivers and Strategies to Improve Workplace Wellness – Pratik Shah

Pratik is a Senior Sustainability Advisor with WT Consultancy (A division of WT Partnership), with over 13 years of consulting and designing experience.

Being a qualified architect, he is passionate about low energy, bioclimatic and a biophilic built environment. He has extensive Green Star Accredited Professional experience and is also LEED Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional and Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional.

Pratik has helped Melbourne Airport’s New Terminal 4 achieve LEED Certified rating, which makes it the first LEED Airport in Australia. Pratik has also helped Local Government Super Portfolio achieve 5 Star Green Star Performance Portfolio rating, which is the first portfolio to achieve such rating in Australia. Being one of the first WELL APs in Australia, Pratik has advised many designers, owners, managers and contractors on issues pertaining to the WELL Building Standard.

Heidi Dening is an award-winning workplace wellness consultant and speaker, the CEO of Workable Wellness, and one of a handful in Australia to gain the WELL™ AP (Accredited Professional) qualification from the International WELL™ Building Institute.

Together with her two decades of experience, this makes her a global leader, speaker and consultant specialising in workplace wellness policies, programs and presentations. The result – healthy work places, thriving work cultures, and better business performance.

Due to her long-term passion and commitment to education and vitality for all walks of society – from corporate professionals, small business owners, entrepreneurs, to children living on remote islands of Vanuatu – she has received many awards including an Australia Day Merit Award and Westpac’s International Women’s Day Local Hero Award.

In 2017, she was included on the honour roll for the global #CelebratingWomen project. Heidi has been the President of the Personal Trainers Council of NSW, a board member of FitnessNSW, and in 2018 she is a featured speaker at the Financial Executive Women’s Leadership Summit in Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
