Event description

Description

While often the focus is on espresso, many people occasionally overlook that most cafes sell more milk than coffee, by volume. This class will provide a deeper understanding of milk as a primary ingredient in cafe beverages, as well as laying out the foundations of latte art techniques. It will cover some of the basic chemistry of milk, the standards for high quality milk beverage preparation, and set the basis for preparing milk for use in latte art. The focus of this class wil be to consistently apply techniques for preparing milk beverages, producing steamed milk with "microfoam", and exploring the challenges that baristas will face in working to multi-task efficiently.
