A workshop in English and Spanish for parents and professionals 

Objectives:

  • To understand the characteristics of high-functioning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome

  • To understand how HFA/Asperger’s affect children’s emotional and social skills and how they understand concepts.

  • To learn about resources to help children and families

Presenters: Amy Perry, Autism Resource Specialist 
Ann Palmer, author and faculty member of CIDD of UNC-Chapel Hill

Light lunch will be served.

 

Cost: $20 parents, $40 professionals

Child care available for $10 per child.

Certification for Professionals: 5 hours of participation

La Sociedad de Autismo de NC se complace en invitar a un entrenamiento en Inglés y Español que explicara sobre el Autismo Funcional y Síndrome de Asperger.

Objetivos:

  • Características del Autismo Funcional y Síndrome de Asperger
  • Como HFA/Asperger afecta en las emociones, habilidades sociales y entendimiento desde niño hasta adulto
  • Recursos para ayudar a las familias y profesionales.

Amy Perry, Especialista de Recursos de Autismo de ASNC
Ann Palmer, autora de libros sobre Autismo y miembro de la facultad de CIDD de UNC Chapel Hill

Se ofrece un corto refrigerio.

 

Costo: $20 cada padre, $40 cada profesional

Guardería $10 por cada niño.

Certificado para profesionales de 5 horas de participación.
