“UNDERSTANDING GAMUT”
(Ground and Air Medical qUality Transport Database)

A Quality Improvement Initiative


Location: OMNI Hotel – Fort Worth, Sundance #6

Organized in 2014, the consensus quality metrics selected by the American Academy of Pediatrics – Section on Transport Medicine were merged with the consensus metrics selected by the Air Medical Physician’s Association to serve as the basis for data collection to improve critical care transport.

Objectives - Participants will be able to:
1. Understand how to collect GAMUT data and get started.

2. Describe how to use the GAMUT data to drive quality improvement efforts in your own Program.

3. Describe how to enter GAMUT data and the value of external benchmarking in your own Program’s improvement efforts.

4. Describe the process the GAMUT Database Steering Committee is using to review and revise the current metrics.

5. Describe one international GAMUT Quality Collaborative Project currently in progress being used to improve critical care transport (EtCO2 Monitoring in Neonatal/Pediatric Transport)
