Description

Students with disabilities participating in work-based learning opportunities within the community are a valued asset that represents an employer’s commitment to inclusion in the workplace. In this workshop, employers will gain an understanding of how to optimize business gains while enhancing the work-based learning skills of students. Participants will also gain an understanding of various learning styles and how to productively engage employees based on their learning style and strengths. Participants will learn about reasonable accommodations and identify resources for implementing these accommodations in the workplace

MIssion:

In collaboration with various stakeholders, the Transition and College Access Centers will support schools and families with facilitating a seamless transition for students with Individual Education Programs (IEPs) from school to adult life, in preparation to be productive members of society.
