Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a pleasure to invite you to the workshop on Understanding Consumer Choices and Experiences in Food co-organised by EIT Food (European Insitute of Innovation and Technology) and the University of Aarhus on 5 and 6 June. This event is putting together the know-how of EIT Food's partner organisations from Aarhus University, VTT and Warsaw University. Please find below further information on the event.


Main theme:
What is it that we do not understand about how consumers make choices of food? Can an experience be a driving force in food choices? What are better ways of generating consumer insights on their food experience and choices?
In this one-day workshop, participants will be acquainted with state-of-the art techniques for generating insights from an applied science perspective.
In the knowledge-sharing part of the event, we will:

  • showcase techniques and examples of research that can help understand how consumers behave when it comes to food

  • present how these techniques can be used in the context of new product development

  • help to define public policy measures aimed at implementing healthy and sustainable food choices.

In the interactive-part of the event, participants are encouraged to file before and during the workshop their own specific problems and questions, and tailor-made advice will be provided to participants.
