Time: Arrival 08:45, Training 9:00 - 13:00

Tea/coffee will be available, but we are unable to provide lunch so please bring your own.
Parking available on site.

In this 4 hour workshop we will cover:

  • An introduction to the biopsychosocial model of mental health difficulties.
  • Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and how these can contribute to later difficulties with both mental health and substance use.
  • Basic neurobiology of substance use.
  • Introduction to psychosis, emotionally unstable personality disorder, PTSD, depression and anxiety – how these can interact with substance use, with a focus on how they can maintain each other.
  • Time to explore your role in relation to these difficulties.

Please only book a place if you are certain you can attend. Places are limited and absences impact on others that could benefit from this training.
