Event Information
About this Event
Parents and others who would like to know more about how behavior influences choices and decisions of children and teens are invited to a free Zoom presentation Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:00 p.m.
“Understanding Behavior and How it Affects Kids’ Choices” is hosted by Resilience1220, an organization that provides free mental-health services to youth ages 12 to 20 in the mountain communities west of Denver.
The talk will cover the four basic functions of behavior and how they affect how we make choices, ways to identify what is reinforcing to your child, and how to create choices for your kids so they feel in control.
The presenter, behavior specialist Annie Cooley, BCBA, works with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities. She received her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati in 2016.
The presentation is free, but registration is required. Register at Resilience1220.org.
