Understanding Accessibility Codes

This course is designed to familiarize building code users with the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Accessible Design and the applicable chapters of the 2010 California Building Code. These include;
• Housing Accessibility, Accessibility to Public Buildings, Public Accommodations
• Commercial Buildings and Publicly Funded Housing
• Standards for Card Readers at Gasoline Fuel Dispensing Facilities.
It should assist the code user in obtaining an understanding of how the accessibility requirements apply in the built environment. At course completion, individuals should be able to distinguish what portions of the accessibility chapters of the California Building Code applies to specific projects based on occupancy.
